Happy Vinayaka Chaturthi

VinayakaVinayaka or Ganesh or Ganapathi or Vighneswara all indicate the Elephant-God, who is popular among young and old, and who is worshipped as the very first deity, before regularly beginning any ceremony or samskar, any yaga of yajna, any vow or fast or pilgrimage. He is the Lord of the ganas or divine forces, inside and outside the human body; He is the Lord, who masters and overwhelms vighna or obstacle, however imminent or eminent. This is the natural effect of the fact that Ganapathi is the God of Intelligence, vidya or buddhi.

What is the inner significance of worshipping the elephant-faced deity Ganesha? The elephant is a symbol of might and magnitude. The elephant's foot is larger than that of any other animal. The elephant can make its way through the densest jungle. In this way, it signifies the quality of a leader who shows the way for others. The elephant is also known for its faithfulness and gratitude. These are the lessons man should learn from the elephant. Intelligence without gratitude is valueless. Every man should be grateful to those who have helped him.

Hello Friends,

HAPPY KRISHNA JANMAASHTAMI

Krishna is one of my favourite Deity.....Celebrating the day Krishna was born.Over 5000 years ago,Lord krishna advented Himself in Mathura,India. One of the most venerated incarnations in the Hindu Dharma.People usally spend the day immersed in Shri Krishna's glory by reading, reciting and singing his divine leela.

The Bhagavad-gita is the famous philosophical discourse that took place between Lord Krishna and the warrior Arjuna, just before the onset of the great Bharata War.Lord Krishna said to Arjuna,

yada yada hi dharmasya,glanirbhavati Bharatah,
Abhiyutthanam dharmasya,tadatmanam srijamyaham!
Paritranaya sadhunam, vinashaya cha dushkritam,
Dharmasamsthapanarthaya,sambhabami yuge yuge!!

Lord Krishna promises:" Whenever and wherever there is decline of dharma (righteousness) and adharma on the rise (unrighteousness),I manifest Myself in visible form. For the protection of the righteous and destruction of the wicked, and for the sake of establishing dharma again, I incarnate Myself on earth ages after ages."
